Job Description

As a Customer Success Engineer (CSE), you will play an essential role in connecting our advanced technical solutions with the needs of our valued customers. You will work directly with clients, ensuring they successfully onboard and maximize their use of our innovative products. Your mission will be to drive long-term adoption and provide expert technical guidance throughout their journey with our services.

Responsibilities

  • Develop strong relationships with customers to understand their business needs and objectives.
  • Assist customers with onboarding and implementation of Tailscale’s products and solutions.
  • Provide ongoing technical support and guidance, addressing any inquiries or issues promptly.
  • Conduct regular check-ins with customers to monitor satisfaction and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including Product and Engineering, to ensure customer feedback informs future product development.
  • Create and maintain documentation and resources to aid customers in using our products effectively.
  • Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling additional features that can benefit the customer.
  • Stay up-to-date with product enhancements and industry trends to deliver informed support and recommendations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a customer-facing technical support or engineering role.
  • Strong technical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex software issues.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Empathetic approach to customer service, focused on understanding and resolving customer challenges.
  • Experience with network technologies and security protocols is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment while managing multiple priorities.
