Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive legal support on construction, infrastructure, energy, and commercial matters, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts.
• Advise on procurement, tendering, and multi-jurisdictional project documentation to support ongoing operational needs.
• Manage stakeholder engagement with internal teams, external partners, and project leads to ensure alignment on legal risk and commercial objectives.
• Ensure compliance oversight across regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Collaborate closely with the General Counsel and commercial leadership to influence project outcomes in a fast-paced and highly regulated sector.
• Assist in the development and implementation of legal strategies that align with business goals and objectives.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent legal qualification and admission to practice law in Australia.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction, energy, or commercial law, preferably in a corporate or in-house setting.
• Strong understanding of regulatory compliance and legal risk management in complex projects.
• Demonstrated experience in contract drafting and negotiation in a multi-jurisdictional context.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at various levels.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively in a dynamic environment.
