Responsibilities

• Manage and assist with various commercial litigation matters from inception through to resolution.
• Draft pleadings, affidavits, submissions, correspondence, and other necessary court documents.
• Conduct thorough legal research and prepare comprehensive legal advice for clients.
• Oversee discovery, evidence gathering, and interlocutory processes.
• Prepare cases for mediation, arbitration, and hearings.
• Appear in court and attend procedural hearings as required.
• Liaise directly with clients, counsel, experts, and other stakeholders throughout the litigation process.
• Assist with settlement negotiations and provide support in dispute resolution processes.
• Maintain organized file management and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Minimum of 3 years of post-admission experience in litigation.
• Proven experience handling breach of contract disputes, shareholder and partnership disputes, and fiduciary duty claims.
• Strong legal research and writing skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Familiarity with mediation and arbitration processes is a plus.
