Job Summary

The Senior Software Engineer II - AI will spearhead the development of GenAI-powered product experiences and the underlying AI platform infrastructure that supports them. This role encompasses the creation of RAG pipelines utilizing the iHerb catalog and customer reviews, the implementation of LLM-driven personalization, the development of a conversational Wellness Agent, and the establishment of agentic workflow systems. Additionally, the engineer will focus on the evaluations and MLOps layer to ensure that AI features are production-ready and repeatable.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy production-ready AI features such as RAG pipelines, LLM-driven recommendations, and conversational agents.
• Construct the shared AI platform layer, which includes retrieval infrastructure, evaluation frameworks, model monitoring, guardrails, and observability.
• Create LLM applications and integrate them with marketing platforms, business intelligence tools, and customer-facing product interfaces.
• Assess the quality of models and features using structured evaluation frameworks; continuously iterate on prompts, retrieval strategies, and model selection based on data analysis.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in software engineering with a focus on AI and machine learning technologies.
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or similar.
• Experience with building and deploying AI models and applications.
• Familiarity with RAG frameworks, LLM applications, and conversational AI systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
