About the Role

As a Staff Software Engineer at our organization, you will play a crucial role in shaping innovative educational programs that prepare students for the evolving landscape of technology. This position is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere in the United States, Europe, Canada, or LATAM. You will report directly to the VP of Engineering and will be involved in architecting solutions that empower learners and establish new standards in education.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software applications that enhance the learning experience for students.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new features based on feedback and evolving needs.
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications through rigorous testing and debugging.
• Lead and mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to uphold the best practices in software development.
• Stay updated with emerging trends and technologies in software development and education.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Software Engineer, with a strong portfolio of software development projects.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript.
• Experience with modern frameworks and libraries, as well as cloud services such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies, tools, and best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
