Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation of the Early Warnings for All initiative on a global scale.
- Coordinate with various stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and international organizations, to establish early warning systems.
- Oversee project planning, execution, and monitoring, ensuring timely delivery of project milestones.
- Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
- Facilitate training and capacity-building programs for local partners to enhance their early warning capabilities.
- Analyze data and report on project progress to inform decision-making processes.
- Promote best practices and innovative solutions in disaster risk reduction and early warning systems.
- Represent the initiative at international conferences and forums to advocate for support and collaboration.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Environmental Science, International Development, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in project management, particularly in international development or disaster risk reduction.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale projects with multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse audiences.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
- Willingness to travel internationally as required by project needs.
