Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation of the Early Warnings for All initiative on a global scale.
  • Coordinate with various stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and international organizations, to establish early warning systems.
  • Oversee project planning, execution, and monitoring, ensuring timely delivery of project milestones.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
  • Facilitate training and capacity-building programs for local partners to enhance their early warning capabilities.
  • Analyze data and report on project progress to inform decision-making processes.
  • Promote best practices and innovative solutions in disaster risk reduction and early warning systems.
  • Represent the initiative at international conferences and forums to advocate for support and collaboration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Environmental Science, International Development, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in project management, particularly in international development or disaster risk reduction.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse audiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel internationally as required by project needs.
