About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Detection Engineering & Response Lead to establish and oversee our Detection & Response (D&R) capabilities. This pivotal role will involve owning the detection engineering, threat intelligence, and incident response functions across our cloud platform. You will lead a small but dynamic team of analysts and engineers, driving innovation in cybersecurity and ensuring the safety of our infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement detection engineering processes and frameworks.
  • Oversee threat intelligence initiatives to identify potential security threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Lead incident response activities, managing complex security incidents and conducting thorough forensics.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance security protocols and practices.
  • Shape the overall D&R strategy in alignment with business objectives and industry best practices.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity trends and technologies to proactively implement necessary changes.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for stakeholders on security posture and incident response outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on detection engineering and incident response.
  • Strong understanding of security frameworks, incident response methodologies, and threat intelligence tools.
  • Experience leading teams and managing complex projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent are highly desirable.
