Responsibilities

As a Senior Network Site Reliability Engineer at Nebius, you will play a pivotal role in designing, building, and maintaining the core network infrastructure that supports our AI cloud platform. Your main focus will be to establish and enforce reliability targets, develop automation tools, and ensure seamless network operations as we scale globally. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to identify bottlenecks and risks, and implement proactive solutions to enhance network performance and security. Key responsibilities include:

• Define, monitor, and achieve clear network reliability and availability objectives aligned with business goals.
• Develop and maintain automation frameworks and tooling to improve network deployment, monitoring, and incident response.
• Lead efforts to enhance network security and resilience, reducing operational risks and downtime.
• Work closely with infrastructure, software, and AI teams to integrate network solutions that optimize the overall cloud platform performance.
• Participate in on-call rotations to promptly address network incidents and contribute to root cause analysis and post-mortem processes.
• Continuously evaluate network technologies and practices to drive innovation and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Extensive experience in network engineering, site reliability engineering, or a similar role within large-scale infrastructure environments.
• Strong proficiency with network protocols, routing, switching, and security principles.
• Hands-on experience with automation tools and scripting languages such as Python, Go, or similar.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, container orchestration, and infrastructure as code concepts.
• Proven track record of defining and meeting reliability targets for critical network services.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure in a collaborative environment.
• Fluency in English is required; additional European language skills are a plus.
