Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy scalable ETL/ELT pipelines from various data sources.
• Architect and maintain our core data infrastructure and ensure the creation of authoritative data sets.
• Transform raw source data into governed data marts through high-performance data pipelines.
• Develop and implement a robust Semantic Layer to ensure consistency of data across the organization.
• Utilize tools such as Databricks, Fivetran, dbt, and Snowflake to orchestrate complex workflows.
• Work closely with data analysts and business stakeholders to define key metrics and ensure accuracy and reliability across all reporting.
• Monitor and optimize data pipelines for performance and reliability.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior data engineers on best practices in data engineering.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, with a strong background in ETL/ELT processes.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with data warehousing solutions.
• Hands-on experience with data pipeline orchestration tools like Databricks, Fivetran, dbt, and Snowflake.
• Strong understanding of data modeling, data governance, and data quality concepts.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to translate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
