Responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior engineers to ensure successful database migrations to AWS.
• Utilize AWS Schema Conversion Tool (SCT) to facilitate the migration process.
• Identify and resolve database compatibility issues between source and target systems.
• Conduct validation and reconciliation of migrated data to ensure accuracy and integrity.
• Document migration processes, challenges encountered, and resolutions.
• Provide support and mentorship to junior team members in database migration tasks.
• Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to best practices for database design.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in cloud database management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience in database migration projects, preferably in a cloud environment.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with various database management systems.
• Familiarity with AWS services and tools, particularly AWS SCT and RDS.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
