Responsibilities

• Lead the design and execution of large-scale migrations from VMware to AWS.
• Develop and implement Landing Zones following AWS best practices.
• Manage project timelines, ensuring all migration milestones are met as per contractual commitments.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve issues during the migration process.
• Conduct assessments of existing VMware environments to understand dependencies and workloads.
• Implement automation and orchestration solutions to streamline the migration process.
• Ensure all systems are tested and validated post-migration for optimal performance.
• Document all processes, configurations, and best practices for future reference.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an AWS DevOps Engineer, with a focus on cloud migrations.
• Strong understanding of VMware technologies and environments.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, VPC, S3, and CloudFormation.
• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Strong communication skills to effectively lead projects and interact with clients.
• Relevant certifications, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer, are a plus.
