About the Role
Spreedly is at the forefront of revolutionizing the payment processing landscape. We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in modernizing our finance systems, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and supporting our ongoing growth initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
- Manage month-end closing processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations, to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and guidance that drive strategic decision-making.
- Assist in the implementation of new financial systems and processes, particularly with our recent transition to Rippling and the upcoming rollout of Ramp.
- Monitor and manage cash flow and working capital, making recommendations for improvements.
- Prepare and assist with budgeting and forecasting processes, providing variance analysis as needed.
- Support the audit process by preparing necessary documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
- Continuously improve financial processes and controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably within the technology or payment processing sectors.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and accounting principles.
- Experience with financial software and systems; prior experience with Rippling and Ramp is a plus.
- Excellent analytical skills with a high attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
