Responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact for all tax-related issues in the APAC region.
• Oversee and ensure compliance with local tax regulations by collaborating with internal teams and external advisors.
• Provide strategic internal tax advisory services and operational support, addressing various taxation aspects including international, direct, indirect, corporate, and personal taxation.
• Advise on the structuring of commercial transactions and contractual agreements to optimize tax positions.
• Support new business initiatives and ventures by offering tax-related insights and recommendations.
• Prepare and review tax filings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws.
• Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the organization’s operations.
• Develop and implement tax strategies that align with business goals while managing risk.
• Facilitate training for staff on tax compliance and best practices.
• Engage with governmental agencies as necessary for tax-related discussions or audits.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; advanced degree or certification (e.g., CPA, CTA) is preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in tax compliance and advisory roles, preferably in the APAC region.
• In-depth knowledge of local tax laws and regulations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex tax issues.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey tax matters clearly to various stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in the digital asset or blockchain industry is a plus.
• Fluency in English is required; additional language skills are advantageous.
