Job Responsibilities

• Provide expert technical underwriting assistance and formal referral approvals across multiple lines of business, including auto, general liability, and workers' compensation within the Large Construction sector.
• Act as a primary point of contact for field underwriters and collaborate directly with underwriting managers on mandatory referral cases and voluntary consultation items.
• Ensure continuity and alignment between Primary Casualty and Excess placements where applicable, maintaining a cohesive underwriting approach.
• Support leadership in evaluating transactions while serving as a trusted advisor regarding exposure and coverage decisions.
• Engage in the development and implementation of portfolio strategies aimed at maintaining and enhancing overall performance.
• Work closely with the leadership team to deliver technical expertise and guidance to frontline underwriting teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in underwriting, specifically within the construction sector or similar fields.
• Strong knowledge of Primary Casualty lines, including Workers' Compensation, General Liability, and Auto.
• Proven ability to communicate complex technical information effectively to various stakeholders.
• Exceptional analytical and decision-making skills with a focus on risk assessment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.
