Responsibilities

• Support senior lawyers on commercial litigation matters, including breach of contract, shareholder disputes, and general commercial disputes throughout New South Wales (NSW).
• Manage core litigation tasks by preparing court documents, coordinating discovery processes, reviewing evidence, briefing counsel, and providing assistance during mediation and settlement negotiations.
• Conduct comprehensive legal research on procedural and substantive issues to enhance case preparation and strategy.
• Develop practical litigation strategies that are commercially focused and aligned with client objectives.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure effective matter progression through NSW courts and uphold the standards of legal excellence.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in commercial litigation or a related field.
• Strong research and drafting skills, with the ability to analyze complex legal issues effectively.
• Working knowledge of court procedures in NSW to facilitate smooth litigation processes.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with clients, counsel, and court officials.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong organizational skills to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
