We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Vice President of Software Engineering to join our team at Experian Automotive. In this senior leadership role, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of innovative software solutions that drive our marketing and statistical products. You will lead a talented team of engineers and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our software products meet the highest standards of quality and performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the software development lifecycle, from planning and design to implementation and support.
• Drive the strategy for software development within the automotive market, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Manage and mentor a team of software engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with product management and other stakeholders to define product requirements and prioritize development efforts.
• Ensure software solutions are scalable, secure, and meet industry standards and best practices.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation in software development.
• Establish and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of software projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in software engineering and development, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Proven track record of successfully leading software development teams and delivering high-quality software products.
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile and DevOps.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
• Experience in the automotive industry is a plus.
