About the Role

As the Senior Manager of Global Payroll Systems and Equity Operations, you will play a crucial role in modernizing and scaling our workforce compensation infrastructure. Reporting directly to the Head of People Operations and Workforce Technology, you will be responsible for transitioning our payroll function from manual, multi-vendor processes to an automated, highly scalable operating model. This position is part of the leadership team and offers a unique opportunity to blend global cross-functional system design with hands-on execution, directly impacting operational and financial efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the end-to-end global payroll operating model for employees, contractors, EORs, PEOs, and local providers.
  • Manage and develop a high-performing team of 2-3 direct reports, ensuring execution discipline and adherence to high operational standards.
  • Lead the operational administration of employee equity using Shareworks, which includes grant processing, data updates, and reconciliation across multiple departments.
  • Identify opportunities for automation to reduce manual data transfers, minimize recurring exceptions, and enhance overall efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices for payroll and equity operations.
  • Monitor compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, ensuring that payroll and equity operations adhere to legal standards.
  • Provide strategic insights and recommendations to the leadership team based on payroll and equity analytics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll systems management or equity operations.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing a team.
  • Proven knowledge of payroll compliance and regulations across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Experience with automation tools and payroll software, particularly Shareworks.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
