About the Role

Tailscale is seeking an experienced Director of Go-to-Market for the Asia Pacific (APAC) region to drive our business development efforts from our Singapore office. This role is crucial as APAC represents a significant growth opportunity for us. You will be responsible for creating and executing our go-to-market strategy, establishing a robust pipeline and revenue stream, and building a strong partner ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in building and leading a successful regional team and is eager to replicate that success from the ground up.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the APAC go-to-market strategy aligned with Tailscale’s overall objectives.
• Identify key market opportunities and define investment areas to optimize growth.
• Build and manage a high-performing sales team to achieve revenue targets.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with strategic partners and customers.
• Lead market research initiatives to stay informed about industry trends and competitor activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing and product development, to align strategies.
• Represent Tailscale at industry events, conferences, and client meetings.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
• Proven experience in a senior sales or marketing role, preferably in the technology sector.
• Demonstrated success in building and leading sales teams in the APAC region.
• Strong understanding of the APAC market dynamics and customer needs.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to think strategically and execute tactically.
• Fluent in English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
