About the Role

At Ruby Labs, we are on the lookout for a Senior AI Engineer who will take ownership of the quality, reliability, and evolution of our AI systems in production. This is a vital role that requires a proactive approach to the end-to-end delivery of major AI features, ensuring production stability, and conducting data-driven experimentation using tools such as Langfuse, Mixpanel, and OpenRouter.

Responsibilities

• Drive the development and optimization of AI features from conception to deployment.
• Ensure the stability and reliability of AI systems in a production environment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, growth, data, and billing, to integrate AI solutions effectively.
• Develop and manage agentic, tool-using AI systems, defining clear tool contracts and orchestrating interactions with internal services and business systems.
• Utilize a modern technology stack including Next.js, TypeScript, Node.js, and Redis.
• Engage in data-driven experimentation to continually improve AI performance and user experience.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Proven experience in AI system development and deployment.
• Strong proficiency in Next.js, TypeScript, Node.js, and Redis.
• Experience with data analytics and experimentation tools such as Langfuse, Mixpanel, and OpenRouter.
• Solid understanding of software engineering principles and best practices.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a squad-based structure.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for innovation.
