About the Role

As a Lead Android Developer, you will be instrumental in shaping the technical landscape of our Android platform. Key Responsibilities

  • Define and own the technical vision, architecture, and long-term roadmap for the Android platform.
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of Android engineers; establish coding standards and conduct code reviews.
  • Make high-impact architectural decisions and drive modularization and scalability across the codebase.
  • Own the Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) strategy, ensuring release management and deployment reliability.
  • Collaborate with product and design leadership to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Maintain a hands-on approach with the codebase while ensuring high-quality deliverables from your team.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve our Android offerings.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Android Developer with a strong portfolio of applications.
  • Expertise in Kotlin and Java, with a deep understanding of Android SDK and development tools.
  • Experience in leading and mentoring engineering teams, with a focus on fostering growth and collaboration.
  • Strong understanding of software architecture principles, design patterns, and performance optimization.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with CI/CD practices and tools is a plus.
