Responsibilities

  • Manage and optimize the energy supply for our data center portfolio, ensuring reliability and cost-effectiveness.
  • Develop and implement strategies to meet business capacity planning needs while adhering to clean energy targets.
  • Negotiate utility agreements and manage relationships with energy suppliers and regulatory bodies.
  • Utilize knowledge of regulated and organized electricity markets to enhance energy procurement strategies.
  • Support the execution of Meta's global energy strategy by addressing cost, risk, and timelines in energy supply transactions.
  • Conduct market analysis to inform decision-making and help achieve operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate energy management practices into overall business operations.
  • Monitor and report on energy consumption and cost metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Energy Management, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in energy management, preferably within data centers or related industries.
  • Proven track record of successful utility negotiations and managing supplier relationships.
  • Strong understanding of electricity regulation and policy, particularly in markets such as WECC or SERC.
  • Experience with behind-the-meter generation and energy project development is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and market trends.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving and project management.
