Responsibilities

  • Facilitate and drive communication and cross-team coordination between internal and external water stakeholders, including Strategy, Finance, Sustainability, Design, Engineering, Construction, and Operations.
  • Monitor and support tool development to ensure compliance with water and wastewater regulations.
  • Oversee compliance with industry standards and Meta’s best practices related to water management.
  • Collaborate with the Site Development team to support water-related initiatives during the pre-development, construction, and operational phases of data centers.
  • Conduct site visits to understand operations, engage with site teams, and attend agency and stakeholder meetings.
  • Assist in assessing water-related risks and provide recommendations to mitigate them effectively.
  • Support the development of strategic plans to optimize water usage and enhance sustainability efforts across the data center portfolio.
  • Engage with local communities and regulatory agencies to foster positive relationships and ensure compliance with local water management practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in water resource management, environmental compliance, or a related area.
  • Strong understanding of water and wastewater regulations and best practices in the data center industry.
  • Proven experience in project management and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel as needed to data center sites and stakeholder meetings.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on sustainability and efficiency.
