Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Meta’s data center location strategy within assigned geographical regions.
• Manage the site selection process for real estate, ensuring alignment with company objectives and operational efficiencies.
• Collaborate with various teams, including economic development, energy and utilities, and legal, to secure necessary incentives and agreements.
• Conduct thorough market analysis and feasibility studies to identify optimal locations for data center development.
• Negotiate complex real estate agreements, ensuring that all legal and financial aspects are addressed.
• Proactively identify potential site selection challenges and develop creative solutions to overcome them.
• Maintain strong relationships with local government officials, real estate brokers, and utility companies to facilitate smooth operations.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in data center site selection and management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Real Estate, Engineering, or a related field; MBA preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in site selection, real estate, or related fields, preferably within the technology or data center industry.
• Proven track record of successfully negotiating large, complex real estate transactions.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to develop practical solutions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Deep understanding of the legal agreements and policies related to real estate transactions.
• Ability to travel as needed to visit potential sites and engage with stakeholders.
