Responsibilities

• Lead economic development projects for new data center site selections and expansions.
• Conduct thorough due diligence related to economic development programs, including state and local tax incentives.
• Collaborate with site selection and legal teams to negotiate economic development agreements with state and local governments and economic development agencies.
• Engage with internal departments, including data center design, construction, legal, finance, accounting, and tax, to ensure alignment on project parameters.
• Monitor and assess economic trends and policies that may affect data center operations and development.
• Develop strategic relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials and community leaders, to promote successful project outcomes.
• Prepare and present project proposals and updates to senior management and external stakeholders.

Requirements

• Proven experience in negotiating large, complex economic development deals.
• Extensive knowledge of legal agreements related to economic development.
• Strong understanding of data center operations and the factors influencing site selection.
• Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on collaboration.
• A degree in Business, Economics, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience working with government agencies and understanding of public-private partnerships.
