Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice and practical solutions for business clients on banking matters.
• Support legal functions, including regulatory guidance and contract drafting/review across various practice areas within investment banks.
• Analyze new business initiatives and products/services from a legal perspective as required.
• Proactively monitor compliance with domestic and international legal requirements, fostering a culture of compliance within the organization.
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders to provide commercially tailored legal advice.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in general banking, regulatory compliance, or banking finance.
• In-house legal experience is preferred, either directly or as a secondee, but not essential.
• Strong commercial understanding and excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and provide sound legal advice tailored to business needs.
• Proficient in analyzing legal aspects of new business initiatives and maintaining compliance standards.
