Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive legal support regarding privacy and data protection issues across the APAC region.
• Assist mid-sized and large Australian or multinational companies in navigating and complying with local data privacy regulations.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure robust legal frameworks are in place for data handling and processing.
• Deliver clear and concise legal advice on a range of privacy-related topics, including contractual obligations and risk management.
• Stay updated on developments in data privacy law and provide training and guidance as necessary.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in a legal role, preferably with experience in an in-house legal environment.
• Demonstrated expertise in APAC data privacy matters, including a strong understanding of relevant regulations.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, capable of thriving in a dynamic and fast-paced legal landscape.
• Ability to communicate complex legal information effectively to stakeholders.
• Full working rights in Australia and eligibility to practice law within the country.
