We seek an experienced Software Architect to join our Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) Data team.

Responsibilities

• Define and architect cloud-native services and distributed systems for the AEC Data Model (AECDM).
• Lead the design of APIs, service contracts, and integrations that bridge multiple teams and systems.
• Develop and maintain a connected data model that supports our organizational objectives.
• Collaborate with data engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on architectural decisions.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to inform architectural strategies.
• Implement best practices for service-oriented architecture and distributed systems design.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Software Architect or similar role in cloud services and distributed systems.
• Strong expertise in designing and implementing APIs and service contracts.
• Deep understanding of data architecture, even though this is not a data warehouse or analytics-specialist role.
• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly.
